Hi, I'm a new transfer this fall. I'm moving into Oglethorpe house and it says on my myscad that my check-in date is the 12th. I'm a little bit confused about orientation. Would I have to attend orientation on the 12th(freshmen orientation) or on the 13th(new transfer orientation)? If I have to attend orientation on the 13th, do I just show up to my dorm on the 12th to move in? I'm so confused! - J

Asked by Anonymous

Show up on the Transfer Orientation day and you can move in that day.  If you need additional confirmation, you can contact the Housing Department at 912-525-7000 tomorrow during business hours.

Notes

I am a bit of a last minute applicant and I have yet to hear any decision. My admissions counsellor insists it will be soon, but school starts next week! What is the latest a person could expect to hear for the coming quarter?

Asked by Anonymous

It is possible to be admitted up until classes start, but I would strongly recommend that you contact your admission adviser daily at this point and request a rush.

Does attending SCAD for a bfa architecture degree make it any easier to be accepted for the mfa architecture program? Is there someplace online that shows the graduate acceptance rate for the architecture program?

Asked by Anonymous

Yes, it should be a smooth transition to go from the BFA in Architecture at SCAD to the Master of Architecture at SCAD.  You may call 912-525-5100 or email admission@scad.edu for the graduate acceptance rate for the architecture program.
